I am pleased to welcome you to the Quality Management website of the Libyan International Medical University (LIMU), which is proud to be one of the most successful and prominent higher education institutions in Libya. The story of quality at our university is a story of commitment and persistence; the university was launched based on work according to the latest standards and specifications to ensure the quality of higher education—both globally and locally—believing that quality is the foundation for graduating future leaders.

Our commitment to quality was not merely a goal, but has become a tangible achievement that has shaped the university’s culture within the Libyan academic landscape. LIMU is the first Libyan university to undergo comprehensive audits and evaluations in accordance with national quality standards and accreditation criteria, and it continues this approach with confidence and transparency to ensure the quality of its educational system. We have exceeded many expectations and surpassed local borders, as our ambition pushes us toward excellence and international recognition.

We have succeeded in obtaining international accreditation for a number of our distinguished academic programs. Most notably, the Bachelor of Dentistry program has earned American accreditation, in addition to the Faculty of Dentistry receiving accreditation (in its pre-merger stage when it was part of the Faculty of Medical and Health Sciences) from the European Association for Dental Education. These accreditations are an international certificate affirming the quality of education we provide according to the highest global standards.

Given the dynamic expansion and the large number of academic programs offered by the university, the role of the Quality Management Department becomes more vital as we work systematically to ensure all programs obtain national accreditation. We also strive to align our new programs with the standards of relevant regulatory bodies, in a collaborative effort carried out in partnership with national authorities. Additionally, we implement periodic and comprehensive internal and external evaluation and assessment systems, which contribute to strengthening the quality of the educational process.

We are committed to providing a clear and detailed roadmap that begins with curricula and academic outputs and extends to administrative and support processes, with the goal of elevating all service and technical centers that support the university’s mission. Our aim is to contribute to graduating a qualified generation capable of meeting the development needs of society.
